The Robocall Mitigation Database Is Broken
In my work as a TCPA Plaintiff’s attorney, a few telecoms keep showing up time and again. They keep ignoring subpoenas, and are blind to the fact that their customers are sending clearly illegal pre-records.
In theory, telecoms are supposed to draft and submit a robocall mitigation report for inclusion on the Robocall Mitigation Database.
What passes for a “robocall mitigation report” submitted by some of these telecoms and approved by the FCC is downright laughable.
Here’s an excerpt of a gem of a so-called “robocall mitigation program” of one telecom caught red-handed terminating illegal pre-record traffic:
We are working since last two years but don’t have any robo calls from our platform. We further, have an agreement with our clients to curb this robo calls.
Here’s the entirety of another’s self-described mitigation “program:”
These telecoms need to get shut down.
